Photoepilation remains one of the most effective hair removal methods because it guarantees long-lasting results without damaging the skin structure. At Freya Estetica beauty salon, epilation is performed using the EXILITE IPL device, which operates on high-intensity light pulses. How does it work to remove unwanted hair?

Hair removal with photoepilation is simple – the light pulse is absorbed by the hair follicle, causing it to die, and the hair does not grow back. After each session, hair growth significantly decreases. Since hair grows in three phases and epilation affects only hairs in the active growth phase, 4–6 sessions are generally recommended for optimal results (the number of sessions depends on skin type, hair structure, age, sex, and hormonal background). Procedures are performed every 4–8 weeks.

The results are long-lasting, reducing the need for daily shaving. Results vary individually – in some cases, hair does not grow back, while others may require additional sessions (2–3 per year). In most cases, hair either does not grow back or grows as sparse, thin, and light hair that does not disturb clients.

Important information:

The procedure can be performed on tanned skin, but not earlier than two weeks after sunbathing.

For two weeks after photoepilation, protect the skin with sunscreen and avoid tanning beds or self-tanning creams.

Hair should not be plucked. If wax or epilator was used, start photoepilation only 4 weeks later.

Hair can be shaved. Shave the area to be treated a day before or immediately before the procedure.

Photorejuvenation

An effective method for skin rejuvenation

Photorejuvenation is performed using the IPL method (IPL – intense pulsed light) and is based on selective photostimulation of collagen synthesis. IPL pulses do not damage the skin surface. The procedure stimulates collagen production, tightens the skin, improves blood circulation and skin tone, and reduces pore size.

The procedure gives good results for aging skin and for pigment spots caused by excessive sun exposure. A few days after treatment, unwanted pigment comes to the skin surface and exfoliates.

As a result of photorejuvenation, wrinkle depth is noticeably reduced; acne-damaged skin is restored; pigment spots are reduced or disappear; and cheek redness decreases. The procedure can be performed on the face, neck, and décolleté area.

What you need to know

CAPILLARY REMOVAL WITH IPL LASER

The dilation of subcutaneous blood vessels causes reddish or bluish capillaries to appear on the body or face. The most effective way to remove capillaries is IPL treatment. During IPL capillary removal, the light beam is absorbed by the blood vessels; as hemoglobin heats up, the blood coagulates, and the vessel walls fuse together. After the procedure, capillaries may darken, but results are visible in about a week. To achieve the final result, 1–3 procedures may be required.

Both individual/point capillaries and hemangiomas, as well as capillary “nets” on the nose, cheeks, chin, legs, and other areas, can be removed.

Propionibacterium acnes (P. acnes) is a natural bacterium present in the healthy skin of most adults. In acne treatment with the EXILITE device, porphyrin is used as a photosensitizer.
